tdy some big fat airhead almost caused mi to b in deep shit.. luckily i 吉人有天向.. to explain this i have to 重头说起

last mth i was assigned to look into one issue which someone raised.. some stupid issue regarding the code which my ex-teammate did.. so i looked into it.. realised tat the prob which he described got conflict wif the requirements.. which means the prob shldnt b a prob at all since its invalid.. but the expert din c my pt.. instead he asked the guy stuffs abt other aspects.. ok lor i tout i was wrong.. since he was the one whom the ex-teammate handed over the code to when he left.. n he more exp.. but the mail exchange was slow cos of time difference n cos the guy got other things to do n din reply promptly

so this dragged on for quite sometime until the woman from overseas mentioned during one meeting tat i was taking too long to do.. tat was when the expert told mi to do some code change to fix the issue n i stayed back till 8+ to do.. ok i tout it was finally done.. but den got some prob wif the testing.. so drag n drag again.. finally got the fix tested.. need ppl to check the code.. again the person-in-charge took own sweet time to check.. so drag n drag again

finally the guy checked the code.. he said hey the code got conflict wif the requirements.. i dun agree wif ur changes.. he dun approve means i cant get this issue done.. so i have to check wif the guy again on the requirements.. this time best.. he said the requirements is our responsibility n not his.. so now im stuck in the middle of nowhere

den this morn the big fat airhead from nowhere emailed mi saying tat i was taking too long to solve the issue n tat its hindering their progress.. which was ok wif mi except tat she cc the mail to my dept boss, who is one level higher than my PM.. juz happen tat my boss was on leave n his email auto-reply wif the list of ppl to contact if they need help.. den this big fat airhead tout i was the one out of office n cc the mail again to the list of ppl stated, saying i was out of office n asked them to assign someone else to look into the issue.. guess wat? the list of ppl contain my boss's boss n some other big shots.. cos of her big fat airhead this issue got blown up to the mgmt level

luckily my PM was in the list of the second email.. den she spent the whole morn helping mi to look into this issue n even called up the ex-teammate to clarify on the requirements.. she said last time when they were doing the code they oso faced the same prob n it has been dragging on n on.. now im the one who kena.. after spending mani hours she finally said the issue is invalid due to the requirements.. which was wat i had suggested all the while at the beginning but nobody agreed wif mi n i tout i was wrong..

after tat she helped mi to email the guy saying wat the prob was.. she said they shld have got the facts rite at the beginning instead of raising this issue.. after which she helped mi to reply the big fat airhead (she called her "stupid woman") saying tat im looking into the issue n in fact she was included in the latest email exchange.. i think she is juz lazy to go read her mails.. to gek her further she wrote that actually im in office working n the one out of office was my dept boss.. LUCKILY my boss n my boss's boss were not in office tdy.. else i duno wat to expect

later on the team heard of wat was going on n agreed tat the big fat airhead go n blow up the whole thing when its juz a minor issue.. its a gd thing tat they were on my side so i din felt tat bad.. but i dun think it reflects well on me oso.. after all i took so long to do

sometimes its realli stupid making us waste time looking into issues tat r caused cos of their mistakes in testing.. like the other one which i spent the cny looking into.. turned out tat the prob lies in their testing n not in the code at all.. bloody hell.. assign us issues n want us to finish within 2 wks
