peaceful lunch
these few days lunchtime is particularly peacefully.. quiet surroundings, no queues so i can eat watever i want, n best of all, no rubbish from the loudspeaker! haha.. finally broke away from the lunch group n ate half an hour early.. shiok man. but den duno y after i din eat with them den they went out n came back on time.. -___-.. duno on purpose one or wat.. aniway bochup them
saw a forum posting abt ppl saying the wrong things when ordering food.. order bak chor mee without bak gua.. pig organ soup without spare parts.. lol. cant help laughing out when i saw tat.. n the best part comes from the pig.. 王的男人 becomes 黄的男人.. yellow man! n gingerbread man becomes ginger black man.. hahaha. chao tar de gingerbread.. duno the office ppl saw me laughing or not.. lol

mixed feelings
YATTA! finally finished the jap exams.. but then.. y i feel so lost? suddenly feel like continuing the course nxt yr.. haha. otherwise feel v wasted.. but.. after i finished the oral exam on sat, i tout "heng nxt yr not going to study liao"... -___-
list down some pros n cons of studying nxt yr:
pros:
1. no regrets cos i finished the whole course
2. can get "subsidy" from company
cons:
1. time consuming
2. v sian
aniway got 1 mth to consider.. c how it goes.. haha

laksa story
recently me n xiaobai r on a search for laksa which we are going to eat only once in a lifetime.. without doing any initial research, the budget was set at $1.50.. n so we went to katong where there r mani laksa stalls
1st stall: premium laksa $3.80 before hum top-up
me: wats ur opinion?
xiaobai: too exp
me: i noe its too exp, i nvr say i want tat laksa. i mean how u find the ingredients.. we r doing research mah, need to noe inside got wat so tat we can compare
xiaobai: *quiet*
me: i think $1.50 is a bit too low
xiaobai: c wats the average price lor.. if average price $2 den up budget lor
me: *hopeful*
after xiaobai asked around, his frens all bought laksa at $3+, some topup hum until $5.. so i tout we up the budget to $3, but..
xiaobai: i dun believe we cant find laksa at $2+. u noe my fren was saying its v memorable eating the laksa, v hot until sweat n mucus come out, den my other fren ask her where is the laksa now, she say in the toilet bowl. $5 for something u eat once n go out to the toilet bowl! i dun think its worth it.
me: its once in a lifetime wat. for memories n somemore nxt time we can show other ppl
xiaobai: mani things oso have first time. somemore with the money saved we can go japan spend more n take more pics, tat one den call memories
me: *quiet* (meant to retaliate that once in a lifetime n first time is different, first time can have the nxt time, but once in a lifetime is oni one time, but nvm...)
2nd stall: $2.80
me: how u find it?
xiaobai: exp. i feel indignant at paying $3 for the laksa when i can cook the laksa myself n somemore its something tat goes to the toilet bowl. we can spend the money on something more meaningful
me: how abt i pay for the laksa myself
xiaobai: aiya up to u, u rich, u make the choice
me: *quiet*
3rd stall: $2++ without bowl for laksa. u bring ur own bowl
me: if we going to quarrel after coming out from the stall den i rather dun go in
xiaobai: ok.
after coming out..
me: dun seem to b v worth it
xiaobai: i dun think the laksa is worth it in the first place
me: *pissed*
den xiaobai made a suggestion: order cheap laksa but we tabao the raw hum home n cook ourselves which will b cheaper. i want standard laksa, but this option sounds ok as long as we have the hum, but its v tedious n not much cost-savings n somemore if we going to search for other food den i think the hum is going to rot there
4th stall: $2.60 but before finding out the price i already mentioned the laksa dun look appetizing
me: the laksa dun look good
xiaobai: where got? looks ok to me. laksa everywhere oso same one
me: duno how to say
xiaobai: i noe, its not exp enough for u isit

xiaobai: seems like wat u want is premium n not standard laksa. with hum topup its going to end up more than $3.
so we r left with a few options:
1. i pay for the laksa myself. save $1 every mth n can afford to eat nxt yr oredi. though xiaobai say ok but i think its not really an option since he thinks its not money well-spent.
2. go jb for laksa, but he say its too troublesome with the traffic jam n hot sun
3. find our own ingredients n cook, but its too much hassle n we may end up paying more
4. find laksa at $2+ but with hum topup i think its not v possible, n the bowl looks v empty without a reasonable number of hum. and if only 1 such stall exist out of 10 stalls, n everytime i kena shot about how exp the laksa is or how i want premium laksa oni or how stupid i look while negotiating with the stall owner after leaving the stall, i duno how mani times i can tahan it
5. buy laksa n dabao the raw hum home. he asked me if i ok with this choice. i said if there is no other choice, but wat i wanted to say was “do i have a choice?”. even if we found cheap laksa without hum but theres no guarantee that the noodle will b good or the prawn fresh etc
money is the root of all evil. without money, u r nothing! cant even eat laksa with hum. n after reading this post i think the world is pretty hopeless. mayb i shld start volunteering at grassroots club n change my job
btw this is just an analogy. i dun realli like hum one

too much news
too much to take in today.. first theres the announcement tat my team going to dissolve nxt yr n the 2 new projs offered dun look v appealing.. one is gd in proj mgmt but not v gd in technical work.. the other one is opposite, lousy in proj mgmt but technical work ok.. so which one to choose? im thinking of choosing the better proj mgmt one.. hopefully not much ot.. sigh.. spoil my hols thinking abt the choice to make
received the jlpt exam details.. walao eh! exam venue at west coast! i was expecting it to b either near changi or bugis.. somemore its in the afternoon.. win liao lor my whole sunday gone.. aniway at least dun need to wake up so early to travel to the west.. but den the tout of having exam in the afternoon is damn sian.. feel sleepy n somemore got time to study in the morning.. ya i hate having time to study in the morning.. cos if u dun study u feel v inadequate.. but the more u study the more u realise u duno.. so i rather have the exam in the morning where u wake up fresh n if u dun do well at least u wont feel so bad cos there is no time to study in the morning.. hahaha. self-deception..
communication is a v tiring thing.. sometimes u want to discuss properly den ppl try to b funny.. sometimes ppl dun get ur point n toke off tangent.. sometimes wat u want is different from wat other ppl want n u duno how to compromise.. sian. n the phrase "放下心中的大石" is quite apt.. cos i realli feel like got one big stone in my heart now.. a bit diff to breathe.. haha. n studies show tat women who dun toke out their frustations r more prone to heart attacks.. so i must throw out the big stone using this blog.. heck care wat ppl think.. just complain n complain.. kpkb better than having heart attack.. haha

pms
feeling pmsy.. argh.. suddenly everybody seems to get on my nerves, esp the colleagues during lunchtime.. so slowwwww in walking, so slowwwwww in eating, so loudddddddd in talking.. the oni way to avoid stoning for too long is to queue at those popular stalls which take slightly longer so tat by the time i ordered my food n finished eating the timing is just nice.. or they finish slightly later than me.. -_____-.. n must sit furthest away from the loudspeaker colleague so tat i dun have to listen to his daily speeches
got jap exam nxt wk! -__-.. haven realli studied.. mayb shld study during work.. but not tat daring to put my notes openly on the table.. scarcely got seen as being too free n kena arrowed more work.. -__-.. sian sian sian.. hope dec comes faster!
